Silicon prosthesis
It is most commonly used to raise the nose bridge. As for the advantage, because it is easy to make the desired design, it can be applied according to the shape of the patient's nose. Since it has little tissue reaction and is used for a long time, it is safer than other materials. As for the disadvantage, there are cases where prostheses are reflected on some female patients with thin and white skin. When inflammation or infection occurs, it can form a film of fibrous tissue that causes contractures or can protrude into weak areas of the skin.

Autologous tissue
If you use autologous tissue taken from your own body, you can have more natural results with fewer side effects and inflammation rates. Generally, autologous tissue used for rhinoplasty include ear cartilage, nasal septum cartilage, chondrgladiolar, autologous dermis, fascia, and etc.

Ear cartilage
Because ear cartilage is a fibroelastic cartilage, it can move smoothly and freely. Because it bends but isn't deformed, it is used for patients who want a natural nose shape. This corresponds to the case of raising the tip of the nose by reinforcing the columella nasi. It is suitable for people who want to change to a slightly sophisticated look rather than a big change, or it they want to improve only the tip of the nose slightly. Because the crus of helix is preserved and cartilage is collected, there is little deformation in the ear shape after surgery.

Nasal septum cartilage
Nasal septum cartilage is the most commonly used cartilage.
It is harder than ear cartilage, so it is effective in raising the tip of the nose. In the case of the advantage, because the cartilage within the surgical scope is collected, there is no need to make an incision in other areas to get the cartilage. Because it is a thick and flat plate shape, it is easy to cut out and use for the desired purpose. In case of the deviation of the nasal septum, it helps to improve symptoms. In the case of the disadvantage, damage to the nasal mucosa can occur during the collection process, and in severe cases, it can be perforated. If there is severe deviation of the nasal septum or damage due to injury, it is difficult to use the desired shape. In the case of reoperation using ear cartilage or nasal septum cartilage because the desired shape wasn't achieved after surgery, the case where the nose was shortened because of capsular contracture with silicone prosthesis is typical.
As for the advantage, as described above, a sufficient amount of cartilage can be used, so it can be used for low nose, short nose, and contracture nose. It is also possible to use the rib part along with the cartilage. And because of its high intensity, it can be used as a solid support for reoperation and reconstructive surgery, where the cartilage structure is deformed or damaged, making it difficult to maintain its shape.
As for the disadvantage, pneumothorax can occur during the cartilage collecting process. In fact, problems rarely occur. Particularly, in the case of female patients, additional scars on the chest area are the problem. However, the incision line is located on the under breast line to minimize scars.

Autologous dermis
Autologous dermis uses the dermis between the hips.
When silicon is removed due to inflammation or infection, it is mainly used to replace it. Because it is autologous tissue, there is little concern about inflammation or infection. And a natural height can be made. However, because it is absorbed a lot after transplantation, it should be considered to be about 50% lower than at the beginning of surgery. It can be layered in many layers and placed on the nose bridge, or sometimes it is combined and used to raise the tip of the nose.

Fascia
Fascia primarily uses the temporal fascia. If the skin is thin and white, the prosthesis can be reflected, so it is prevented by wrapping or adding the prosthesis with the fascia. When breast cartilage is used, perichondrium is sometimes collected and used instead of the temporal fascia.

Donated rib cartilage
/ If ear cartilage or nasal septum cartilage is insufficient or difficult to use due to reoperation, it is used instead. Although it isn't autologous tissue, it is safe to use for surgery after going through a safe treatment process.
